Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in a large-scale power plant.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Ensure reliable operation of transformers, switchgear, and motors.
- Monitor electrical distribution systems for safe and efficient performance.
- Coordinate shutdown and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for plant reliability.
Required Skills
- Power Plant Electrical Maintenance – Experience in utility-scale power plants.
- High Voltage Systems – Handling HV equipment safely.
- Electrical Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve electrical faults.
- Switchgear & Transformers – Maintenance and operation.
- Electrical Safety Standards – Compliance with industrial safety practices.
Preferred Skills
- Protection Relay Knowledge
- SCADA/DCS Exposure
- SAP Maintenance Module Experience
Work Experience Requirements
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a large-scale power plant environment. Experience with power generation equipment, high-voltage systems, and industrial maintenance practices is essential.
Education
- Minimum: B.E. Electrical
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Typical)
- Additional Certifications: Industrial Electrical Safety / HV Switching Certification (Typical)
