Sales Associate Responsibilities


  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Actively listen to customer needs and provide expert advice and recommendations across all product categories (electronics, home appliances, fashion, and beauty).
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits and educate customers on new and emerging technologies and trends.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform upselling and cross-selling to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep and up-to-date knowledge of all products, including specifications, features, and benefits.
  • Ensure all merchandise is properly displayed, stocked, and priced according to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, and restocking products.
  • Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and effective sales operation.
  • Communicate customer feedback and sales trends to management.
  • Attend all training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills

Skills

Educational and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a retail sales role, preferably within a department store or a similar multi-category environment.
  • Experience with electronics and home appliances or fashion is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong product knowledge or the willingness and ability to quickly learn about new products.
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping people.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle customer issues and inquiries efficiently.
  • Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
