Reports to: Executive Director of Human Capital and Facilities Management
Scope And Purpose
The Safety and Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. This includes enforcing safety policies, monitoring for potential risks, and responding effectively to emergencies.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol premises to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Implement and enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
- survey premises , monitor gates and respond to alarms.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and safety violations.
- Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based work, including nights and weekends.
- Indoor and outdoor environments, depending on assignments.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Degree or certification in occupational safety, security management, or related field (preferred).
Training
- Completion of security officer training programs.
- Knowledge of safety standards and emergency protocols
Licenses
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
Required Experience
- Relevant experience in security, safety, or emergency response.
Skills
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in security systems and equipment (e.g., alarms, fire panels).
Other Requirements
- Physical fitness and ability to handle emergencies.
- Clean criminal record and professional integrity.
- Languages ( Arabic and English)
