The Operations Systems Specialist is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing all ERP and
related software systems used within the Operations and Logistics departments, including Manufacturing,
Warehousing, Delivery, Quality, and Safety. The role ensures effective integration of technology into
operational processes, acts as the liaison between the operations team and IT or developers, and supports
system updates, troubleshooting, and training. Additionally, the Specialist will manage the development and
maintenance of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics for the Operations and Logistics departments to support data-
driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Systems Support:
o Serve as the point of contact for all operational ERP applications, such as Oracle WMS, OPM,
Maintenance and other related systems.
o Collaborate with department heads (Plant Manager, Warehouse Manager, Delivery Manager,
Project Manager, Quality Manager & Safety Manager) to identify system requirements and
support their functionality.
2. Systems Optimization:
o Analyze the usage of existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
and functionality in operations.
o Work closely with the IT department to implement updates, patches, and upgrades to
operational systems.
3. Dashboard and KPI Management:
o Develop, maintain, and update dashboards to provide real-time insights into the performance
of Manufacturing, Warehousing, Delivery, and other operational areas.
o Track and analyze department KPIs to identify trends, monitor performance, and support
strategic planning.
o Collaborate with department managers to define and refine KPIs aligned with operational
goals.
4. Liaison and Communication:
o Act as the primary liaison between the Operations and Logistics departments and the IT team
or external developers to ensure system issues and needs are addressed promptly.
o Translate operational requirements into technical specifications for IT or developers.
5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
o Provide first-line support for any system-related issues affecting operations.
o Coordinate with IT to resolve technical issues that impact manufacturing, warehousing, or
delivery processes.
6. Data and Reporting:
o Manage system-generated data to create accurate and actionable reports for the Operations
Director and department heads.
o Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
7. Training and Documentation:
o Train operations staff on the proper use of ERP systems, dashboards, and analytics tools.
o Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, dashboards, and best practices.
8. Continuous Improvement:
o Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for streamlining processes,
automating tasks, or enhancing reporting capabilities.
o Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies to enhance system functionality
and data visualization.
9. Compliance and Security:
o Ensure that all systems and dashboards are compliant with company policies and regulatory
requirements.
o Coordinate with IT to maintain system security and data protection standards.
Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Data
Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
o 2–5 years of experience in ERP systems support, operations, logistics, or data analysis.
o Familiarity with Oracle WMS, OPM, or similar systems is preferred.
o Previous experience in manufacturing operations and FMCG is preferred.
Skills:
o Strong understanding of manufacturing, warehousing, and delivery processes.
o Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and
KPI reporting.
o Excellent communication and liaison skills to bridge technical and operational needs.
o Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and reporting-related
issues.
o Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
