As a Head of Finance in Kuwait, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring its financial sustainability. You will be managing a team and providing strategic financial guidance to the senior management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and practices in Kuwait in the FMCG industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide guidance to senior management on financial targets and performance indicators.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the senior management team and external stakeholders.
- Manage the company's cash flow, including forecasting and optimizing working capital.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and propose action plans to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments and BUs to support business decision-making, evaluate investment opportunities, and assess financial risks.
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and industry trends, and proactively advise the senior management on potential impacts.
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Financial Leadership role in FMCG industry, preferably in Kuwait or the Middle East.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Kuwaiti financial regulations and practices.
- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in managing a team and providing leadership in a complex and dynamic business environment.
- Background in ERP system implementation, Key ERP Project management, MS dynamics 365, influence & network as a Key Advisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and cross functions at all levels.
- Strategic mindset and ability to think critically and analytically.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
